Normally I’m not a huge fan of Burberry bags because I prefer bags with softer leather and Burberry (like Louis Vuitton) is usually a stiffer leather canvas. I would make an exception for theBurberry Check Belted Hobo, though. The design is just beautiful, and it is really functional as an everyday purse. However, I think the belted closure might be a double-edged sword. I love the practicality of being able to open a bag wide, because you can see everything that’s in there at one time. With no real dedicated closure, though, I’d worry about things falling out. Still, it’s a lovely tote, and if I wanted a chic, clean look, I would definitely put this purse at the top of my list. Exclusively Available at Saks for $850.

Oh Pre-Fall – so many bags, so little funding. But at the very least I can gush about these upcoming beauties to the general public. The luxurious mocha leather of the Burberry Langley Shoulder bag is a fabulous option for chilly fall days and the simple hobo shape is roomy and functional. You’ll have plenty of space both to fit everything in there and dig around looking for it. The belt around the top cinches the purse just a tiny bit, which I like because it makes me feel like the hobo needs help keeping its pants up.
